Tai Chi
Originating in China, Tai Chi is the practice of slow meditative physical exercise designed for relaxation, balance and health based on the traditions of Tai Chi and Qigong (Chi Kung).
The Lilac Moon Tai Chi School is based in the rural township of Trentham, a short one hour drive from Melbourne, Victoria.
Chief Instructor and founder Patricia Kent has more than 30 years experience and regularly runs classes in Trentham, Ballan, Kyneton and Meredith. Lilac Moon Tai Chi also has local instructors and schools in NSW and Tasmania.
What we do
Instruction at the Lilac Moon Tai Chi School focus on the traditional styles of Yang, Wu and Sun. Some of the forms include the standardised Yang 24, 42 Competition Style, Wu 121, Sun 78 and Wu Broadsword, Yang 32 and 42 sword forms and the Mulan Fan Form to name a few.
We also provide training in Qigong, a Chinese system of physical exercises and breathing control related to Tai Chi.

Strength, health & well being
Part of the philosophy of Tai Chi and a major focus of the Lilac Moon Tai Chi School is health and well being. At the beginning of our classes our instructors take students through Qigong exercises.
The practise of Qigong and Tai Chi based exercises is now being recognised by health practitioners as being highly beneficial for all ages and fitness levels.
The Lilac Moon Tai Chi School encourages students of all ages ranging from teenagers to octogenarians.
